Permissions & Roles

Studio uses a permission-based access control system. Permissions are stored in localStorage per user session and read at runtime to determine which pages and actions are available.

How Access Control Works

What you can see and do in Studio depends on the role assigned to your account. Sidebar navigation items, buttons, and entire pages are shown or hidden based on your permissions. If you expect to see a page or button that isn't there, contact your administrator to review your role.

Some pages are also tied to which services your company has active. For example, Calls only appears if your company has Video KYC enabled.

What Each Role Area Controls

KYC & Verification

  • Customers — view and manage customer profiles and KYC submissions
  • Documents Center — review uploaded documents per profile
  • AML — run and review AML screening checks
  • Recorded Video — play back recorded Video KYC sessions

Communication

  • Calls — access the Video KYC call center (requires Video KYC to be active for your company)

Compliance & Finance

  • KYB Entities — view and manage business entity profiles
  • Travel Rule — manage travel rule transactions and wallets (requires Travel Rule to be active)
  • BioPay — review biometric payment attempts (requires BioPay to be active)
  • Reports — view the embedded analytics dashboard

Administration

  • User Management — invite and manage team members (admin only)
  • Permissions & Roles — view role configuration (admin only)
  • Company Settings — manage webhooks, billing, activation, and IP access (admin only)

Personal

  • Settings — update your own profile, password, and 2FA
note

Your available pages and actions depend on both your assigned role and your company's active services. Contact your administrator if you need access to a page that isn't visible.
